More of your federal student loan payments are now linked to your current location.
As part of a larger effort to expand the use of the new Federal Direct Loan, the Education Department has begun rolling out a new student information system to help students and families better manage their finances.
The Department of Education said that users of the E-Z Cash account will now be able to view their student loan balances in real-time.
The new account will be able track student loan interest, balance, payments, and more.
It will also provide information about current loan payments, payments and the cost of loans, and the interest rate that’s been set.
Users will also be able click on the “student loan information” link to see the details of their current loan, including interest rate, payment history, and other data about the loan.
Students will be prompted to enter their Social Security number and address, but the information will not be saved in the user’s account.
The Education Department said that the new account can be set up to be updated on a monthly basis.
This move comes as the Department of Defense is also working to make its own student loan payment management tool.
Last week, the Pentagon said that it is working to develop a tool that would allow users to monitor their loan payments for free.
