The online health and dental care company MedicoInspansion has launched a free dental plan in Australia that aims to provide a more affordable alternative to traditional dental care.
The new plan, which is available to customers in Queensland, is part of a global expansion to offer dental care to all people across the country.
The company said it would continue to expand the service in other areas of Australia, such as Victoria and Western Australia.
The plan includes a free visit to the dentist, as well as a comprehensive check-up.
The service is available at participating dental offices in Australia, New Zealand and the US, and it can be used in some locations outside of the country if you are insured by a US-based health insurer.
Medico Inspansion CEO Chris Wood said the company was “delighted” with the uptake of the service and that the plan was “just the beginning”.
“We have been working hard to ensure the value proposition is truly the best we can provide,” he said.
“We believe the value of the dental plan is far superior to traditional treatment options, and we look forward to expanding our global dental services to include the benefit of international health insurance.”
The company also said that it would be “working closely with dental practitioners in the US to offer a comprehensive dental plan to all of our customers”.
“As a global health insurer, Medico is committed to providing affordable and accessible dental care for all our customers,” Mr Wood said.
In an email to the ABC, MedcoInspension said that the service was not available to residents in the New Zealand Territory, although it was “currently being offered to customers who have health insurance through Medicare”.
However, the company said that its services would be available in the ACT in the coming months.
The offer was announced in Australia this morning by MedicoInspansion, which was formed in June 2018.
The health insurance company said in a statement that it was offering the dental care service in partnership with the New South Wales Dental Association and its local dental group, Dental Assoc.
“In New South Welsh, the dental community has long been working together to improve the dental experience and the quality of care offered,” it said.
The partnership with DentalAssoc is part-funded by a $5 million grant from the NSW Health and Hospitals Commission and is a first for Medico.
The dental association said that “over 1,400 dentists across New Southwales have signed up to Medico’s dental program, and more than a dozen dentists have already enrolled”.
It also said the dentists had already provided a “truly amazing” experience for the patients, and said that dentists would be able to work with their patients “to make a dent”.
The dental group said it was happy to “continue to work closely with the Dental Associations to support the dental program”.
“This is a really exciting time for the dentistry community in New SouthWales and the DCHC is thrilled to be able help support this exciting program,” it added.
MedcoInspault also announced the launch of a new dental clinic in Sydney, which it said would offer the service at its New South Sydney Dental Clinic.
MediCorps Australia has launched an online dental clinic for children in Australia and New Zealand to provide free dental exams for children, to offer to children and their parents.
This includes children under 12, who can pay up to $300 for a “free exam” or up to an additional $350 for “free and confidential dental care”.
The program is also available to children who have been referred to the program.
The clinic has opened in Sydney and is located in the heart of the city, on Westmead Street.
It is open to children aged 0-5 and will open to the public on Monday, August 16.
In a statement, Medcorps Australia said it “gives children in need access to affordable and high quality dental care”, which is “well worth the cost”.
“Our aim is to be a community service that provides children with access to the dental services that are the only way they can be confident that they can have a positive dental experience,” it continued.
“MediCorp Australia will continue to work tirelessly with our local dentists and dentists in our community to ensure that every child receives the dental treatment they need.”
