A police officer has been arrested over an alleged offensive language topic after he was recorded talking about the killing of a teenage boy.
The incident happened in October this year and was caught on a police video.
It has now been released by the SA Police Service and the SA Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research.
The officer, identified as Mr K, was arrested at his home in Port Hedland.
“He was charged on Wednesday for the alleged offence of offensive language,” SA Police said in a statement.
“The SA Police and SA Bureau have commenced an investigation into the matter.”
No further details of the investigation were released at this time.
“The officer has not yet been formally charged.
Police said they would continue to monitor the situation.
