A new Facebook application has added the option to opt-out of the app, but the option is not available to everyone.
The social network said it has “enhanced” the way the application works to better understand people’s preferences, but there’s still no clear answer for people who want to stop using the app altogether.
Facebook said the “opt-out” option is currently available for “only select users,” but that it will “continue to improve” the app over time.
“This is an important step in enabling more people to get involved in shaping the way Facebook works,” the company said in a statement.
“We believe it’s important for people to have the option of opting out, but we want to make sure that people understand the benefits of doing so and know they’re getting a more personalized experience.”
Facebook also said it will continue to work with developers on new ways to help users get around the privacy settings.
